Lee Rommel
Artist, Santa Fe, New
Mexico
Fascinated
by the beauty of nature and the lure of western scenery,
romance and tradition, Lee moved west in 1973, making her
home in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She feels the need to be
close to the enduring landscape and exciting subject
matter of the contemporary Southwestern Art Scene. Her
free-flowing, colorful and intensely personal style has
won her many converts.
Teaching for more than 35 years, Lee
works in oils, watercolor and sculpture and has inspired
many of her students to become professional artists.
Primarily self-taught, Lee also has had informal
instruction with Wilson Hurley, George Lundeen and George
Carlson. She has exhibited and won awards in many juried
and invitational shows. Her work is included in numerous
private and corporate collections throughout the United
States, Puerto Rico and the world. She is represented by
